DynamicsAMO Your partner after the consultants leave
Q. What is the purpose of DynamicsAMO? A. We exist to help current Microsoft Dynamics customers to achieve the goals they had for Dynamics when they bought it. Companies buy ERP & CRM to achieve a series of business goals over a period of time. Most companies are still far from their vision. We want to help them to achieve their vision for Dynamics and their vision for their business.
Q. What was the matter with the status quo? A. Customers stopped accepting the status quo. They became more sophisticated and stopped “buying big” with enterprise re-engineering projects that take years and cost millions before the first person uses the system. They learned reduce risk, manage change, and achieve faster return on their investment with a phased approach. A single cut-over to a new system then a series of incremental improvements that consider changing business conditions.
DynamicsAMO‘s business model is built to support Dynamics customers after the single cut-over. We are built to support, improve, and transform Dynamics environments over time.
Q. What is the big idea behind DynamicsAMO Quartets? A. Quartets are small self-contained teams that have all the skills needed to support Microsoft Dynamics environments. They are called Quartets because each team has four team members and combined, they make beautiful music together. Microsoft Dynamics is composed of multiple modules (finance, manufacturing, warehousing, HR, sales & distribution, …), each requires specialized skills and training to support. The infrastructure (database, operating systems, and complimentary platform and tools) also requires specialized knowledge and training. We make sure that, in combination, that each Quartet contains all that is needed to support and to improve Dynamics.
Q. What happens when I use more that my base subscription hours? A. Your base subscription hours will be consumed first then you will be charged by the hour based on your subscription level.
Q. Will my subscription hours roll-over into the next month? A. No, we do not roll-over hours from one month to the next. We build our teams based on our customers using their subscription hours and we even reserve capacity for our customer’s peak periods. encourage you to use all of your base subscription each month.
Q. Can I mix and match my subscription hours across multiple skill sets? A. Yes, these are your hours – your way. Use your subscription hours across any members of your Dynamics Quartet.
Q. Can I put this on a credit card?
A. Yes you can put this on Mastercard, Visa, or American Express.
Q. When I sign up for a 12 month subscription, do I end to pay for all 12 months upfront? A. No, when you sign up for a 12 month subscription you are only charged at the beginning of the month for that month’s subscription payment.
Q. Can I upgrade and/or downgrade my subscription level during the term of the subscription? A. You can upgrade your subscription during at any time by initiating a higher level subscription for a 12 month term. You are not able to downgrade your subscription during your subscription term.
Q. Can I hold my subscription hours until the last day of the month then release them towards tasks for that month? How would the hours and subscription work then? A. Yes, but we ask that you don’t. Holding back hours until the last day of the month is not how this program was intended to be used. But we recognize that our customers want to mitigate risk of running over their subscription hours with emergencies. Our policy is that we accept hours directly against tasks up to the amount available for the month. It will not effect hours for future months.
Q. What happens when I exceed my subscription’s base hours? A. When you exceed your base subscription you will be billed hourly according to your subscription level.
Q. How do you support custom code? A. We support custom code just like you would. The best person to support custom code may be the developer of the custom code itself. With that said, there are many reasons why that may not be the right option for you. There will be a learning curve for your Dynamics Quartet Team. The learning curve could come from your subscription hours or by purchasing additional subscription hours. Once trained , because you work with the same team, they will learn and improve each time they work with the custom code.
Q. Do you support 3rd party ISV solutions? A. Yes, there are two paths we can go down to support ISV vendors. One is called Quartet&, in this program you select a subscription level, say Topaz that would include XX hours per month for $YYY per month for the base Dynamics Products. We will develop a & subscription price ($A) which will assure that we have the skills to support your ISV solution in-house. The combination of your subscription level and the &would be your total price per month. For this example, it would be called Topaz& and would cost ($YYY + $A) per month, The alternative plan is that you use members of your Quartet to learn and support your ISV solution using your subscription or additional hours.
Q. Where is the work being performed? A. The Quartet members are usually in lower cost/higher value pats of the world, often India, Phillippines, or Mexico. You can request a North America based Quartet. We will customize a North American team model that is designed similarly but operated and supported but the costs will be custom.
Q. Can I start small with just some time and materials “hourly work”? A. That is not our business model but we understand wanting to reduce risk with “try and buy”. We came to this compromise, We will accept hourly work for well-defined and deliberately queued tasks (not emergency or crisis work) in full day (8 hour) increments. Our hourly rate for those tasks will be 1.5x the calculated hourly rate of our smallest subscription level. If you signup for a subscription within 30 days, we will credit your account with the difference between what you paid and what you would have paid according to the rate of your subscription level. For instance, If the prevailing hourly rate for Topaz plan was $100/hour then the “try and buy” hourly rate is 1.5x or $150/hour. If you used 40 hours during your “try and buy”, you would have spent $6,000. If you signup for Emerald subscription within 30 days and its prevailing rate is $90/hour then you would receive a credit of $2,400 that you could use for additional hours in the future.
Q. Can my Quartet come on-site with me? A. Yes they can. You pay exactly the same rate. We ask that you pay Travel Expenses and schedule Quartet team members a minimum of 40 hours to assure that you get sufficient value from the onsite work.
